A TEIGNBRIDGE town council is set to increase its share of Council Tax by close to ten percent.

Having set its precept for 2025/26, Bovey Tracey Town Council’s share of the overall Council Tax bill will increase by 9 percent.

This equates to an increase of 17 pence per week for a Band D property.

The council’s expenditure for its various outgoings has broadly increased.

Its budget for community grants increased from £13,000 in 2024/25 to £16,000 in 2025/26, for example.

Elsewhere, Bovey Tracey Town Council hopes to bring the pavilion at the recreation ground back into use as a gym, setting aside £1,500 in its budget for costs related to doing so.
