THERE has been yet another incident of fly-tipping in Teignbridge.
A bed frame and mattress was dumped in a lay-by near the village of Bishopsteignton.
The items were discovered on Monday morning, February 17.
This latest incident comes a week after a sofa, a cupboard and a box of french-fries were dumped at Bradley Ponds nature reserve, near Bovey Tracey.
And around a month after building materials were dumped on a road just outside of Ashburton.
With incidents of fly-tipping seemingly on the increase, Teignbridge District Council (TDC), the authority responsible for clearing illegally dumped waste, has put out a statement.
A spokesperson for TDC said: ‘Any incidents of fly-tipping should be reported to Teignbridge District Council using our online reporting form - Report fly tipping - Teignbridge District Council.
‘We would suggest using the What3Words app to provide the exact locations of the fly-tipping.
‘We would also like to remind people that if you have waste to dispose, please ensure you are employing someone who is a registered waste carrier.
‘A full list of register of Waste Carriers, Brokers and Dealers can be found on the Environment Agency website - Waste Carriers, Brokers and Dealers.’
