POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision that involved a marked police vehicle.

Witnesses are being sought following the incident on the A35 at Tower Cross, Honiton.

Officers were contacted at around 8.40pm to reports of a collision involving a marked police vehicle and a silver hatchback.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

One man was taken to hospital, his injuries are not believed to be serious.
