ROUND six of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was back at Clatworthy, high up in the Brendon Hills near Wiveliscombe.
After a first hour of rain, the sun came out to greet the 12 anglers taking part.
The best tactics on show were floating and Intermediate lines with Black lures and orange blobs, fishing fairly fast.
Richard Berrisford (Plymouth) caught the best fish of the day at 3lbs 15oz, closely followed by Gerry Scutt (Brixham) at 3lbs and 14oz.
150lbs 3oz was the bag weight, nine anglers caught their five fish limit, the average catch was 4.42 and the average weight was 2.83lbs.
Alec Hoare (Kingskerswell) was the overall winner with 15lbs 8oz, ahead of Gerry- 15lbs 7oz, Alex Venn (Willand)- 15lbs, Tom Hendy (Chudleigh) and John Winson (Budleigh Salterton) on 14lbs 2oz and then Heather Lamacraft (Exmouth)- 13lbs 13oz.
