THE Newton Abbot & District Ladies’ Darts League finals night was held at the British Legion on Friday.
It was a well supported night with new faces in attendance as well as the usual players; hopefully a sign of the league growing.
Danny Fisher was MC for the night and brought his ‘unique’ skills to make it a great evening.
The first final was the Captains’ Cup, where Karen Barlow of Wolborough Inn overcame the challenge of Golden Lion’s Debbie Brewer.
Next up were the threes. In a keenly fought final, Golden Lion had too much scoring power and beat Wolborough Inn 4-1.
The pairs final followed, with the Wolborough Inn pairing of Laurette Howard and Lesley Nott beating Lauren Robins and Emma Bassett from The Globe.
In the singles final it was ‘well done’ to The Globe’s Lauren Robins and ‘unlucky’ to Karen Barlow of Wolborough Inn.
The evening ended with the presentation of league and competition trophies.
