HALDON Trail Runner Simon Bunday completed his 50th marathon at the weekend.
Along with a group of running friends, he took on the Saints Way Challenge ultra marathon on Saturday.
This run took the 200 runners from the north Cornish coast at Padstow across the county to the south coast, finishing in Fowey.
The 28.5-mile route took in several villages along the way and passed close to St Austell, Lostwithiel and Wadebridge. It is a multi-terrain event with corn fields, woodland, river paths and country lanes and more than 4,000 feet of ascent.
The weather was perfect for the race, with cloudy conditions but dry and humid.
All runners received a Saints Way medal for their hard-earned efforts.
Simon crossed the line in 101st place in a time of 7.21.09.
