THIS weekend featured a cyclocross double header, with British Cycling hosting round one of the National Trophy at Derby and the second round of the South-West League at Redruth.

In the under-16 boys category, Matt Holmes had a strong performance, finishing in 31st place. James Alan placed 36th in the under-14 category, while Eva Fox secured a 12th-place finish in the junior women's category.

In the under-14 category, Lauren Fox delivered an impressive performance, showcasing her skills by bringing home her first victory at a National Trophy, and she is pictured after her success.

Down in Redruth meanwhile, Under-12 Fredrik Simcock showed his skills by getting on the podium with a great 3rd Jacob Coles with 8th. And a good first ride for Arnold Dollar-Smirnov.

Under-14 James Allen hot-footed down the motorway from Derby to take the win. Also taking part, Alex Pearcy was 5th, Benjamin Simcock 7th. Under-16 Matt Holmes also hot-footed it back from Derby to come 2nd with Bayley Woodger 3rd and Ben Picton 4thclose behind.

Vet 40w Emily Simcock, 3rd Vet 50w Catherine Kilburn with a great win, Jackie Shute 3rd and Nicky Quant 4th.

Vet 50 winner James Bovey secured a commanding victory over his competitors, while his Vet 60 teammate, super vet Robin Delve, claimed an impressive win before heading to Belgium for gravel and cyclocross races.
