TABITHA Cook, a Year 8 student from Teign School, has represented the school in the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) show jumping at Bicton Arena this month.

It was the first time Tabitha and her new pony, Morley, had competed together and they had just four faults to finish in 16th place.

She has only had him for 3 weeks and they are really looking forward to getting to know each other more over the winter and gaining more competition experience.

Tabitha also took a last-minute ride on her sister’s pony, Betsy, who is quite strong and was very excited to be out competing. They completed a quick round but knocked a couple of poles.

Teign’s Head of School Lucie Wagner was full of praise for her student: “Everyone at Teign School is so proud of Tabitha, she represented the school brilliantly and I know she is looking forward to taking part in more NSEA events with other team members.”
