Riviera Division One
Isca Men's E 2
Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI. 11
ASHMOOR men's 2nd team, marshalled by Tyrone France, produced a dominant display to record double figures against an experienced Isca side. Reuben Stanley opened the scoring with a trademark drag flick, and then when youngster Charles Walker scored twice in two minutes there was no looking back.
In a superb team performance, Walker grabbed no fewer than seven, yes seven, goals with little brother Henry scoring too. The prolific Dan Green and Dan Cowdry were Ashmoor's other scorers as they racked up 11 goals.
With second-placed University of Exeter losing, Ashmoor now boast a 7-point lead at the top of the Riviera 1 table. This weekend the men's 2nd team take on Torbay 3s. Meanwhile, Ashmoor men's 1st team host the University of Exeter on Sunday in a final friendly before the National EHL resumes the following week.
Ashmoor Men's 3rd XI. 2
ECV Hornets Men's 2nd XI. 0
Ashmoor Men's 3rd team recorded their fifth win of the season with an excellent performance from start to finish, moving into the top half of the table as a result.
An early counter-attack on the right flank by Angus Martin was finished off neatly by Tom Boyd from close range.
The defence and midfield held strong, and player of the match Gareth Despres had an impressive debut in midfield. As the end of the match neared Ashmoor were finally rewarded with a second goal when Alex Mills tucked away a penalty corner.
This weekend, they travel to face Torbay 2s, hoping to maintain their unbeaten 2025. The men's 4th XI host Taunton Vale D at home.
Elsewhere, Ashmoor women’s team had their Plymouth Uni opposition forfeit last weekend, so will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of Petroc 1 when they face Torbay 2s at the grammar school on Saturday.
