TEIGNMOUTH Golf Club held an Invitational Event on Monday 17 as the start of their McKenzie week.

A total of 20 pairs entered the seniors’ competition and it was William McGrane, alongside guest Andrew Millard, that came out on top.

The successful duo scored a very impressive 45 points and were just ahead of Kevin and Clive Stilwell, who collated 44 points.

Seniors’ Captain Dave Anderson presented the winners with their prizes, and he stands alongside them at the Centenary Stone in this picture.

Maurice Bell deserves a special mention as the oldest member of Teignmouth GC- he was partnered by his guest Sidney George and they came in with a respectable 34 points. Another elderly member in the form of Ian White was joined by Kenneth Hone and they weren’t far behind Maurice and Sidney, scoring 33 themselves.
