DAINTON Park Golf Club’s Ladies Sheelah Creasy Team played at Fingle Glen, Exeter on 13 June.

After having played a practice round a few weeks before, the team were very apprehensive about playing the match and it was going to be a challenge with the difference in handicaps.

The new Devon Golf format was played which consisted of 3 singles playing matchplay and two pairs playing greensomes. Sue Elson had to give 10 shots, Karen Cole had to give six shots and the greensomes pairs gave three and four shots but the Dainton ladies came home with a fantastic 4-1 away win regardless.

On Friday 17 June meanwhile, Dainton ladies hosted Thurlestone at home on a beautiful sunny day, the course looked perfect and the balls were running well. It was a very enjoyable match and Dainton had a great 3-2 victory.
