THE Western League Podcast is set to return for its ninth season. The podcast will bear the name of the league's new sponsor, Jewson, as Tom Hiscott and Ian Nockolds add to their impressive haul of over 290 episodes published to date.

Covering all the news from both the Premier and First Division, the weekly podcast will continue to include two manager interviews, as well as additional features with key individuals in the non-league game. Mental health has been a key feature of the Western Leagues communications in recent seasons and this will continue this season, with more bucket collections, training and interviews than ever before.

The content for the Podcast is based around the league bulletin, a weekly publication edited by Tom Hiscott, who regularly appears alongside long-time host, Ian Nockolds. The Western Football League Podcast is available on iTunes and can be found at https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/western-football-league/id1195602198.

Ian Nockolds said; “I’m really looking forward to bringing the Podcast back this season. We’ve got seven new clubs to hear from, so I’m really looking forward to meeting those managers. Our first episode will feature interviews from local sports journalists, plus an interview with Jewson Regional Managing Director, Andy Jordan”.

In the Premier Division, the higher level of the two, there is Buckland Athletic and Ivybridge Town.

Buckland finished sixth at this level last year on 61 points, 19 less than the total amassed by winners Helston Athletic, whilst Ivybridge won the Premier Division East to gain promotion to this league.
