The midweek games are ramping up for most clubs as they battle to get their season complete.
In Division One, Newton Abbot Spurs continue to turn their games in hand into points. An emphatic 10-2 win over Babbacombe Corries moves them into 4th place, six points off of top spot with three games in hand. Kye Drinkwater, Joe Bushin and Jack Upshire netted two goals each and there were singles for Ross Beer, Aiden Blackie, Callum Noyce and Jason Jones to round it off. The result also leaves Corries perilously close to the drop.
In Division Three, Watcombe Wanderers 2nds continue to lead the way after a great result against an inform Totnes and Dartington 2nds. The title is within reach, thanks to goals from Casey Cooper, Keiron Dale, Jamie Smith and Kye Graham.
The night of Wednesday 8 saw the focus move to the relegation battle in the Premier Division. Chudleigh Athletic beat WBB 3-1 to guarantee top-flight football next season, relegating Brixham 2nds and the recent opponents in the process. This proved to be a nightmare season for WBB manager Andy Moore who worked miracles to regularly field a side, whilst this young Brixham team will surely come back stronger.
Buckfastleigh Rangers are in 2nd place in that league- the points are on their side but both Morley Rangers and Kingsteignton Athletic have games in hand that could make all the difference in the race for the runners-up spot.
