NOAH Sutton’s century – his second in league cricket – was among the highlights of Ipplepen 2nd XI’s 161-run win over D West strugglers Dartington & Totnes.
Sutton blazed away for exactly 100 off 67 balls faced – ten fours, four sixes – as the Pens galloped along to 310 for seven in 45 overs.
Lewis Starkie (3-50) and the skipper Jono Lloyd (2-49) were able to get the run rate to below 10 an over by the end but it was already too late.
Dartington & Totnes, who were without consistent run-getter Justin Osborne, were under no illusions about the task ahead.
Paul Taylor (20) was the lone top-six batter to hang around for long. D&T were 89 for eight at one stage. Kevan Throgmorton (34) and veteran Mick Rusling (16) kept Pens in the field long enough to reach 149 all out.
Ross Kennard (3-21), Paul Thomas (2-16), Harvey (2-25) and Warrick Green (2-20) took the bowling honours for Ipplepen.
