BITTON Park Bowling Club closed out the season with a mixed 15-ends game enjoyed by all, despite the heavy rain earlier that day.

The remaining club finals were held the day before, and the results were as follows.

Brian Ledger came out on top in the Men’s Championship singles whilst Terry Ash was the one to beat in the Men’s 2-Wood singles and Handicap singles.

Louis Grierson got his hands on the Stanley Foster Cup, for all men who had not won a single’s competition.

Moira Webber meanwhile became just the second female winner of the Monks Cup Mixed Singles, succeeding the club’s Vice President Di Vodden.

Finally, the Men’s Pairs Winners were Neil Murgatroyd & Eddy Stephenson.

So ends a very successful season for a club thriving with many volunteers at the heart. Particular thanks go once again to the greenkeeping team, who have already commenced the autumn tasks to ensure a great surface for next year.
