CONGRATULATIONS go to the ladies at Newton Abbot Bowls Club, who finished as runners-up in the SDL Division One.
They came second only to Kings ladies and ended the season with a 7-3 win at home against Torbay Country Club.
The men’s A-Team went one step further and topped the MDL Premier League, rounding off a great season for all at the club.
On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8, it will be Club Finals weekend and so all support from other members will be greatly appreciated. A special mention goes to Trevor Voisey who is involved in no less than five finals- hopefully he won’t wear himself out!
Elsewhere on the 7th, Shaun Lynch has a MDL Singles Final against J. Phillips at Babbacombe and the club would like to wish him well.
Newton continue to entertain tourist teams in the next couple of weeks so remember to put your name down if you’re interested in taking part.
