KINGSTEIGNTON Bowls’ Club had a couple of teams in action recently, starting first with the X Division Over 55s on Wednesday 17.

On their travels to Dawlish Marina’s Green, it was a day to forget even though Captain John Saunders commented that the rinks were closer than the scores suggest. 58-21 to Dawlish (eight league points to zero), D Nown 33-12 Ian Westaway, B Crugten 25-9 John Saunders.

The Y Division team meanwhile had another bye this week.

KBC’s ladies didn’t fare much better sadly, but Skipper Margaret Sole said that they all had a lovely afternoon against a very friendly bunch all the same.

This was a SDLBL clash away at Brixham St Mary’s on July 19 and it ended 85-33, with the hosts claiming all 10 league points as a result.
