ONE of the largest half marathon events in the UK was held in Cardiff and Bovey Valley Runners had some representatives in the field of 29,000 runners.

The course starts in the city centre and then heads down to Cardiff Bay and then back up through the town.

Steph Alder finished in 2:17:38, Nicola Huckerby 2:25:18, Donna Osborne 2:34:35, Mikey Campling 2:46:44, Rebecca Burton 3:01:07 and Tracyann Tweedie 3:12:55.

Meanwhile just around the corner from Bovey, was the Teignbridge Trotters’ Templer 10 race. The 10-mile route is mainly off-road, with a couple of climbs to test you and starts and ends in the grounds of Stover School.
