Returning to the Sodbury Slog and there was also a Fit2Run duo, Tracey Anders and Vanessa Zalma, in action there.
Remembrance Sunday is the date for this race every year. To commemorate the fallen, the event is preceded by an exhortation, two minutes silence and the playing of the Last Post, all of which sets the scene for a very memorable day.
The course is mostly run over private land and takes in several water features and strategically placed obstacles, with names such as the sheep dip, the pig’s trough and the leap of faith and the pair made the finish line in 2:30. They described the event as tough, fun, massively muddy and brilliantly supported by the Chipping Sodbury locals!
