MAYOR Lin Goodman-Bradbury was in attendance at the Dawlish Lawn Tennis Club to officially open the new courts.
On the day of the Junior finals day, the Dawlish Mayor was “Very happy” to be there and commented that the area is blessed with “Wonderful organisations like this one, the Dawlish Lawn Tennis Club, that offer a chance for real talent to be discovered in every one of us.” She also handed out awards at the presentation.
The junior section at the club ranges from those aged five or six all the way up to under-18s and so finals day was a hotly contested event.
It is a section that is constantly growing and they now have nearly 70 young members, with six or seven doing themselves and the club particularly proud when competing in the adult leagues.
One of the coaches at the club added “We are really excited about what we have got here.”
