TWO youths have denied causing £50,000 criminal damage and stealing from a Buckfastleigh coach firm.
A 17-year-old from Plymouth – referred to in court as Boy 1 – admitted breaking into Buckfastleigh Business Centre the same evening and stealing video and computer equipment, clothing and other items.
Boy 2, a 16-year-old from Plympton, denied the charge.
Yesterday, magistrates at South Devon Youth Court at Newton Abbot were considering their verdict.
They heard on Wednesday that the door of Buckfastleigh Business Centre, Chapel Street, was forced on Friday, July 17, between 3pm and 8pm. The door to Young Devon, a charity for disadvantaged young people, operating in the centre, was broken off and glass smashed. The break-in was captured on CCTV.FOR THE FULL STORY SEE OUR ONLINE EDITION
