Children from Our Lady and St Patrick (OLSP) primary school in Teignmouth joined residents at The White House care home for some Christmas activities last week.
Residents helped younger pupils to write their letters to Santa. ‘There seemed to be a lot of requests to Santa for Hot Wheels and lots of lively discussion took place between the residents and children about who is on the Nice or Naughty list,’ commented an OLSP spokesperson.
Once written, the letters were posted in a post box, made by the White House residents, and placed under the Christmas tree, ready for Santa's elves to collect.
Earlier in the week, older pupils decorated Christmas cookies with the residents. ‘They had a lovely time and were thrilled to be able to take some cookies home as well,’ said a spokesperson from OLSP.
‘The school would like to thank The White House for the opportunity to make these precious intergenerational links,’ the OLSP spokesperson added.
