A CHURCH service celebrating World Day of Prayer takes place at St Michael’s Church in Kingsteignton next Friday (March 7)
Representatives from all three churches in the town will be taking part in the 2.30pm service, to which everyone is welcome.
This year the service has been prepared by Christian women from the Cook Islands - a group of 15 islands which is spread over nearly 800,00 square miles in the Pacific Ocean.
Previously the service was known as Women’s World Day of Prayer but now it is more inclusive and known as World Day of Prayer when people from all continents hold a special service of prayer.
