WE’RE IN... The Mid-Devon Advertiser team has moved into its superb new town centre offices.

For more than 130 years the paper has served the people of Teignbridge and this move is making sure it stays at the heart of that community.

Today, Thursday, we will be opening the doors and we invite our readers and advertisers to call in and meet us at 47 Courtenay Street, Newton Abbot.

Scott Wood, managing director of Tindle Newspapers Ltd, owners of the Mid-Devon Advertiser and sister titles the Teignmouth Post and Dawlish Gazette, said: ‘As a publisher with staff based firmly at the heart of our communities, we provide the perfect solution in each local market, whether it be through print, online or social.

‘There has never been a greater thirst for local news and at Tindle Newspapers we are developing modern and relevant offerings based on our traditional strengths of staying connected, being involved, caring about, and participating in local communities.

‘Our move into the centre of Newton Abbot fits perfectly with the company’s ethos.

‘With our fabulous news offices in Courtenay Street we believe we really are at the heart of our community.’

Editor Nick Knight said: ‘We’re really looking forward to welcoming people face to face in our new offices in the centre of the town as that’s where our papers belong – at the heart of our community.

‘If you have a story or details of an event coming up please let us know, we’re here for you.

‘At a time when so many other newspapers are moving out of town we’re really pleased to be bucking that trend and moving into the middle of our town.

‘It’s such an exciting time for us as not only do we have these superb new offices to work in but our new-look website is also going live this week.

‘Make sure you take a look at that as well at www.middevonadvertiser.co.uk as we aim to give you all the best breaking news locally and a complete package of local news, pictures, events, columnists and sporting action in your weekly paper.

‘Our owners, Tindle Newspapers, have done us proud with these new offices and really put their faith in Teignbridge as a place that wants a local newspaper to be part of its community. We will always do our best to be a trusted local news source for you.’
