Today’s (April 18) fixture at Newton Abbot Racecourse has been abandoned due to a waterlogged course.

Despite a dry 24 hours, there had been no improvement in conditions with the track remaining waterlogged and unstable. Unfortunately there is insufficient time to see conditions improve significantly for Tuesday’s scheduled racing.

In a statement on their website the course has said refunds will be processed as soon as possible for ticket holders.

Racing will return to Newton Abbot Racecourse on Wednesday May 10.
