SHALDON Water Carnival has sent out an SOS – for new committee members.

Four of the main officers are standing down after this year's event and replacements are desperately needed.

Any potential volunteers are asked to go along to the queen crowning and fete on bank holiday Monday to speak to the committee and find out exactly what is involved.

Leaving at the end of the year are chairman Sally Brewer, treasurer Holly Gilbert, secretary Peter Williams and Sally Ellison, who looks after publicity, the programme and website.
