FOUR cygnets have hatched to the Black Swans in Dawlish.
Parents Bert and Kimba have welcomed the four new arrivals overnight.
These are the latest generation in the town’s Black Swan population.
The fluffy cygnets are currently being kept under the watchful wings of Bert and Kimba on the nesting site in rushes next to the Brook.
There is one egg remaining.
The area has been cordoned off since the eggs were laid late last year.
The owners of holiday rental Pilchard Cottage were among those taking a look at the new arrivals.
They said: ‘Kimba is doing a wonderful job keeping them warm under her wings and Bert is patrolling The Brook keeping them all safe.’
