A TEAM of volunteers have ensured a community swimming pool is ready to open this weekend.

Volunteers gave up time on Saturday, April 22, to clean, scrub, paint and generally tidy up Kingsteignton Swimming Pool such that it will be ready to open this coming weekend.

The pool is to open on Saturday, April 29, and this is in large part thanks to the volunteers above mentioned.

A spokesman for Kingsteignton Swimming Pool said: 'A huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain to come and help get your lovely pool ready for opening.'
