AN inaugural vintage and craft fair at Bickington Village Hall raised more than £400 for charity and was dubbed to be 'a fantastic day' by one of its organisers.
The event, which took place on Saturday, April 8, brought together crafts people of near enough every discipline for an afternoon to display their creations to those looking for that perfect, handmade item.
More than £400 was raised: after factoring in incurred costs with running the fair, including £60 toward the village hall, the money will be split between the Devon Wildlife Trust and the St Mary’s Repair Fund.
Organiser Mike Hext said: 'Many thanks to all the people who came to our first craft and vintage fair.
'You all make it a fantastic day and it was buzzing with people enjoying the high quality crafts which were outstanding in quality.'
