People in Holne and Scoriton who need affordable homes have been urged not to delay getting their names on the South Hams housing register.

The call has been made by the group that is researching the provision of accommodation in the two moorland villages.

The Holne and Scoriton Local Housing Group has spent the past six months meeting with housing associations and the Land in Hand Community Land Trust to discover the best way forward.

The result of the talks is that Hastoe Housing Association has been selected as the preferred partner and now public consultation will begin.

The aim is to deliver up to six homes in Holne and two or three in Scoriton.
