PREPARE for a quintessential country show experience at its finest as Dunsford Village Show returns for another year of excitement and entertainment this weekend.
Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of Dartmoor National Park, this beloved event, which takes place between 12pm and 5pm on Saturday (June 29) offers families the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fun-packed afternoon in the countryside.
The wonderful show is run by the Dunsford Community Academy PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association) in order to raise funds to support their fantastic school in the heart of the Teign Valley.
Main acts featured this year include Wardour Garrison's interactive historical demonstrations, the pounding sounds of Taiko South West, a display of both vintage and classic cars and Bubbles the Pixie.
However, the entertainment doesn't stop there.
The Dunsford School Maypole dancers and country dancers will be showcasing their talents, there are vintage games stalls to try your hand at and of course highly anticipated dog show.
Refreshments include BBQ, traditional cream teas, local ales, cider, Pimm’s, strawberries, ice cream, and much more.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £2 children aged 5-16 and under-5s can get in for free.
Alternatively family tickets (two and adults and up to three children) are available at £12.
The show field is conveniently located just off the B3212 after Briton Street Lane and is easily accessible from Exeter with lots of signs on the approaches
