VANDALS have daubed graffiti on a public bench in Chudleigh Knighton.
The popular bench near Candys Cottages belongs to Hennock Parish Council.
Clerk Ellie Maynard said it was ‘very frustrating, time consuming and expensive when someone chooses to vandalise property’.
The incident along with similar graffiti found under the bridge in Pipehouse Lane has been reported to police.
Chudleigh Knighton resident Spencer Bartlett of Spence Property Maintenance volunteered to fix it free of charge for the parish council.
He was thanked for doing a ‘fabulous job’.
