POLICE and Ambulances were involved in an incident which saw a person receive serious injuries in Newton Abbot’s Chapel Road on Friday evening.

A police spokesperson has confirmed that a person was injured after a fall. Their injuries were serious and potentially life changing but not life-threatening.

A police car, van, Ambulance and Rapid Response Ambulance vehicle were all on scene.

Part of Chapel road was sealed off while ambulance and police dealt with the incident.

Devon and Cornwall Police said earlier: ‘Emergency services are responding to reports of concern for the welfare of two people near Queen Street, Newton Abbot. The matter is ongoing at this time.’
