SEARCHES for Dartmoor’s missing lynx were continuing today (Fri) amid hopes the big cat could be lured back to his zoo home at Sparkwell.
The two-year-old labrador-sized creature legged it from the popular venue overnight on Wednesday.
Police have already used two drones fitted with heat-seeking cameras as part of the recapture operation which has also included the setting 25 humane traps baited with meat.
The drones were grounded after fog thwarted their eye-in-the-sky swoops of local farmland at 3am today (fri)
A vet is stalking the immediate area armed with a tranquiliser dart gun.
Anyone spotting the Carpathian lynx should ring police on 999, quoting log 252 of July 7.
Officers say the fugitive should not be approached as it poses dangers if worried or cornered.
