TWO people had to be rescued from underneath a car that crashed into a building at Torbay Hospital, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
Emergency services were called to the hospital grounds on Wednesday, November 27, after a vehicle collided with a building.
A number of people within the building were injured, with one woman suffering such serious injuries that she was taken to Derriford Hospital - her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Fire crews from Torquay and Paignton rescued two people who were trapped under the car, the driver of which, a man in his 60s, was treated at hospital for his injuries.
‘Officers would like to thank hospital staff for their assistance in managing the scene and members of the public visiting the hospital for their patience’ a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said.
