HEDGEHOGS in and around Buckfastleigh will be able to traverse the area in a safer manner thanks to a decison made by the town council.
At a recent meeting, Buckfastleigh Town Council allocated £150 to a ‘Hedgehog Highway’ project, which will see gaps created in fences to enable hedgehogs to move around in safety and avoid having to use roads to access food.
Elsewhere in the meeting, Scoriton and Buckfastleigh Twinning Association are to be gifted a public bench by their twin town of Fontaine-Henry, France, as a thank you for the red phone box that was presented to them last year.
Grants of £500 were awarded to Participate Arts for creative workshops and to Moor Imagination Collective for community engagement and business planning.
