IT was the biggest invasion of cyclists that Teignmouth has ever seen.
Up to 2,000 pedalled into the resort on all sorts of machines after riding from Minehead and Honiton on the prelude to one of the stages of next week's Tour of Britain race.
They were all ages and sizes and raised thousands of pounds for the Prostate Cancer Charity, which organised Sunday's event. Enthusiastic crowds packed the seafront and Den to welcome them across the finish line.
By coincidence, it was the anniversary of the now legendary Muse concerts on the Den a year ago, and once again Teignmouth rose to the big occasion.
