IT may have been unseasonably autumnal outside last Saturday,  but inside Denbury’s Village Hall it was a riot of colour.

The air was  heavy with the aroma of heady blooms, and freshly baked cakes too, as the village’s 51st Flower Produce and Arts and Crafts show took place.

‘It really has been a marvellous event,’ said the show’s chairman Robert Morgan.

‘Entries in flower and vegetable competitions were all up and the judges said the displays were  excellent  - despite the differing weather we have had this year.’
