With almost three hundred members our u3a is a thriving, adventurous group: often arranging tours to historical and interesting places, writes Brigitte West.
If you want to walk in good company, join our happy band of walkers as they cross the sweet smelling, open spaces of Dartmoor or climb the cliff tops, the salty green sea dancing below.
Maybe a gentle stroll on one of our history tours: discover the fascinating old wash houses from the 1800s still dotted around our villages; not to mention of course our wonderful historical pubs and the great ales they still serve.
Our local history group is planning many exciting trips this year which include: a trip to the Box museum in Plymouth; a boat trip on the Tiverton Canal and a wonder around Torre Abbey. Car sharing is provided for those without transport.
Last month we enjoyed a wonderful trip to Brittany without leaving the comfort and warmth of the great hall at the Courtenay Centre. Many thanks to Gordon Apsland for his beautiful photos.
The wonderful, No Limits cafe, kitchen & hub are opening for business at the Courtenay centre which will mean delicious cakes and steaming pots of tea can be enjoyed before our meetings.
We are holding our next coffee morning at Dainton Park Golf Club,Tuesday 15th February, 10.30.
Everyone is welcome, including non-members, come and talk to us about joining: A warm welcome is assured.
