HAVING temporarily closed due to flood damage, bookworms in and around Moretonhampstead have been without their beloved library for some weeks now, but a solution has sprung up thanks to Wellmoor, a community wellbeing organisation based in North East Dartmoor.
The organisation has transformed the village's old telephone box into a 'Wellbeing Library'.
A spokesman for Wellmoor, via the organisations Facebook page, said: 'We are hoping this pop up library in the Moreton Phone Box might fill the gap for die-hard book worms for the time being.
'Open any time and for everybody, come by and have a browse or swap.'
The phone-box library can be found next to the village's allotments and is stocked with everything from self help books to holiday brochures.
Wellmoor was established in 2017 as part of the Moretonhampstead Development Trust, which is a registered charity.
