Police in Teignmouth are launching an initiative to make themselves more accessible to the public.
The regular ‘Chat With A Cop’ sessions are likely to take place on the seafront or in the Triangle and enable residents to discuss any concerns with local officers face-to-face.
‘As a local neighbourhood team, we are conscious that we have had ‘surgeries’ in the past, in the Triangle, but this has never been regular,’ explained Devon and Cornwall Police’s Teignmouth neighbourhood beat manager PC Robbie Mangham. ‘We want to make ourselves as accessible as possible,’ he added.
Teignmouth’s policing team hope its ‘Chat With A Cop’ events will take place at least once a month and they will be promoting the events via their Facebook page.
