Teignbridge's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A38, from 7pm October 4 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Haldon Hill entry and exit closure for carriageway improvements. , diversion exit slip, A38 westbound to Chudliegh and return, diversion entry slip, A380 northbound to Kennford and return.

A30, from 7pm October 4 to 6am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 westbound, Alphington to Cheriton Bishop, including entry slip at Fingle Glen, carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Ide lane, Tedburn road, Five Mile Hill, Tedburn st Mary to rejoin A30 at Cheriton Bishop/Woodleigh junction.

A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh, to Drumbridges carriageway closure for carriageway improvements. , diversion B3344, Strap lane, B3195, A380, Wear Barton, A383, Greenhill way, Newton road, Jetty Marsh road and A382.

A38, from 7pm October 8 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Peartree to Goodstone lane closures for, junction improvement works. Local authority, junction will be closed 24hrs, diversion route via A38 eastbound to Goodstone, junction and local authority road.

A38, from 8pm October 10 to 6am October 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Dartbridge entry slip road closure for sign erection, diversion via Ashburton Road and B3352 to Peartree.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
