TEIGNBRIDGE District Scouts had an extremely successful weekend at Ten Tors with nine teams taking part – five at 35 miles, three at 45 miles and one at 55 miles.
The weather for the weekend was, on the whole, good walking weather – cloudy with scattered showers, and not too much wind.
Dave Wainwright, Teignbridge Scouts Training Manager, said: ‘The Teignbridge teams were amazing, an absolute credit to their Scout Groups. The weekend was a tough one for all of them, but their training and determination saw them through to a successful outcome.
‘All of the teams completed the challenge, with a special mention to our 55 mile team who crossed the finish line at on Sunday morning over 90 minutes ahead of any of the other 55 mile teams.
Finish times were:
► Teignbridge Explorers 55 mile – 11:01
► Bovey Tracey Scouts 35 mile – 13:15
