Teignbridge District Council chair, councillor Rosie Dawson, is looking for artists to take part in an exhibition celebrating the International Day of Happiness in March.

The exhibition is aimed at enabling the communities of Teignbridge to connect and celebrate positivity through art.

‘In a world with such division, panic and bad news, I have decided to put on this inclusive and uniting civic event to celebrate those tiny things that bring us happiness,’ Rosie said.

Residents can submit poems, drawings, paintings, sculptures or models to be exhibited at the event, which will take place from 10am-1pm on March 20 at Forde House in Newton Abbot.

Anyone interested in submitting their work should provide a brief description of their entry by February 7. Further information can be obtained from [email protected]
