PUPILS from Chudleigh Knighton Primary School have been enjoying the sun and success at Devon County Show.

They have scooped an impressive eight prizes.

As part of their class topic this term ‘Devon’ pupils in ‘Burrator’ class entered a variety of classes at the show including scarecrow; Devon rocks; seed picture; princess potato and fizzy fun.

To their delight they came away with eight certificates including first prize for their seed picture and the runners-up rosette in the scarecrow class for their ‘big chief’.

Class teacher Sian Kingdon said: ‘We sent a message to Exeter Chiefs saying we’d paid homage to ‘big chief’ in the scarecrow class entry and were delighted to receive a response from them saying ‘’well done, brilliant’’. A picture of our entry is now on the official Chiefs’ Twitter feed.’
