POLICE had a strong presence at a location in woodland near Mamhead, just off the A380, this morning after what locals claimed an alleged rave took place in the early hours of New Years Day.

Nearby residents took to social media to complain about loud music coming from the woodland all night.

This picture was taken at lunchtime as revellers appeared to be leaving the site under police supervision.

Police have been contacted for a comment.
