A ‘STRANGER danger’ warning has been issued after a man was seen taking photographs of children outside a Teignmouth Primary School.
One dad confronted the suspicious snapper after spotting him outside Hazeldown Primary School in Maudlin Drive last Friday morning.
Parents were immediately notified of the 9am incident by staff. And police sent an officer to the school later in the day to offer reassurance about the matter.
Police have since appealed for information from anyone who might know who the mystery man was.
He was aged about 45 with short black hair.
He was last seen racing off towards the town after being challenged by the questioning parent.
The suspect was wearing a blue bomber jacket, white or khaki trousers and walking boots.
One parent said after the incident: ‘This has made quite a few of us very nervous and worried.
‘By running away he has made us even more suspicious. It would be good if he contacted the school to explain his odd behaviour.’
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting log 126 of January 22.
