WORK to the stairwells at Newton Abbot’s multi-storey car park has begun.

This means one of the two will be out of action this week.

The south staircase will close first, then work will move to the north stairwell later in the week, closing access to that staircase.

‘The work is expected to be completed by the end of the week’ a spokesperson for Teignbridge District Council said.

‘We are sorry for any disruption this essential maintenance work will cause’ the spokesperson added.
