A Christmas event that was threatened by a dispute over electricity and then cancelled due to Storm Darragh will finally go ahead this Saturday (December 21).
Sprouts for Scouts, which will raise much needed funds for the 4th Teignmouth Scout Group, will take place in and around the Triangle in Teignmouth between 10am and 2pm.
Expect lots of sprout-themed games, music, mince pies, mulled wine, chocolate sprouts and a chance to greet Santa in his grotto.
Last month, the event was jeopardised after a misunderstanding with the Town Council over electricity supply. Local traders and the community rallied around to ensure Sprouts for Scouts could still go ahead until Storm Darragh arrived and forced it to be postponed.
