A SPECIAL treat to get the residents of Kingskerswell into the festive spirit proved popular.
The Christmas Tree Festival, set up by members of the parish council at St Mary’s Church, featured more than a dozen trees located around the church.
The parish council even provided one of the decorated trees on show.
It was built from rubbish collected by the council as a result of a litter-picking project called ‘Spikey the Hedgehog’.
Visitors to the festival took closer look at the tree were able to spot that Spikey himself was hidden in their tree.
